Changed traffic conditions will be in place to manage heavy traffic expected on approach to Hyams Beach over the busy school holiday period from Friday 29 September to Friday 6 October. The roundabout at the intersection of Booderee Ave and Illowra Ln will be under traffic control. Allow extra time and follow the directions of traffic controllers on site.The speed limit will be reduced from 80km/h to 40km/h along Booderee Ave in both directions. If Hyams Beach reaches capacity, temporary closures at Booderee Ave may be implemented. Motorists should arrive early or expect significant delays on roads approaching the township and beach, particularly over the October long weekend. Alternative white sand beaches can be found on the Shoalhaven – South Coast NSW website.
