Heavy traffic
Today we expect heavy traffic on the Great Western Highway, Bells Line of Road, Mitchell Highway and Mid-Western Highway following the Bathurst 1000.

Traffic is heavy this morning as crowds return home after the race. Anyone leaving or driving through Bathurst this morning should expect delays.
There is currently heavy traffic eastbound on the Great Western Highway at Kelso and Blackheath.

Anyone returning from the event to Western NSW or Victoria should also be aware a number of major roads including the Newell Highway are closed due to flooding.
