The main section of the Bega Bypass upgrade opens to traffic in both directions from 10am. Delays of up to 15 minutes may be experienced.

The Bega Bypass is a 3.5 kilometre two lane road which includes an underpass for local traffic and pedestrian access at Applegum Close, and bridges with pedestrian access built over the new highway at High and Ravenswood streets.

The existing highway will remain closed south of Boundary Road until the end of November for continuing building work for the new intersection and tie in at the southern end of the bypass. A reduced speed limit will remain in place near the southern tie in.

Access to Bega will be maintained via the northern roundabout whilst work is completed.
