A 12-month trial of heavy vehicle lane restrictions is taking place on the M1 Pacific Mwy in both directions between Wahroonga and Kariong. The trial aims to improve road safety and improve traffic flow.
Trucks and buses over 4.5 tonnes are able to use the left two lanes to enable overtaking, where safe to do so, but must not travel outside the left two lanes unless directed.
Penalties for breaching the signposted restrictions apply.
