Traffic Incidents related to Sydenham Rd at Victoria Rd, Marrickville, NSW
Travellers heading off on holiday or to visit family or friends this summer are being urged to use public transport as Sydney Airport prepares for the busy holiday period. Large numbers of passengers are expected to fly in and out of Sydney during the school and summer holidays.
Traffic is expected to be heavy on roads in and around the airport with the busiest times between 6am and 11:30am every day at both the T1 International and T2 T3 Domestic terminals, and from 6pm to 10pm at the Domestic terminals.
The T8 Airport and South train line will cater for the increased holiday demand, helping those heading off interstate and overseas as well those arriving into Sydney.
Travellers should strongly consider catching the train, and if they must drive are reminded to allow plenty of additional time and be aware of ongoing work to upgrade roads around the airport precinct, including along Joyce Dr.
