Only small vehicles are able to pass one at a time using the cliff side and larger vehicles will have to use an alternative route.

The highway has reopened following an earlier bush fire and smoke in the area has reduced visibility. Motorists are advised avoid non-essential travel, and to drive to the conditions.

Snowy Mountains Hwy is open between Adaminaby and Talbingo.
