The following changes have been implemented:

• George St is open to southbound traffic between Campbell St and Railway Square.
• Motorists in vehicles under 12.5m in length on Campbell St can only turn left into George St to head southbound.
• Motorists in vehicles over 12.5m should not use Campbell St west of Pitt St.
• Motorists on Valentine St can only turn left into George St.
• George St remains closed to southbound traffic between Bathurst and Campbell streets.
• No right turn is permitted from George St heading southbound into Hay St or Ultimo Rd. 
• No access is available to Rawson Place from George St heading northbound or southbound.

The following permanent changes have been implemented:

• Westbound motorists are able to travel on Bond St, across George St and into Jamison St 
• Jamison St is now one way westbound between George and York streets.
• Access to Jamison St is via George St only. 
• One northbound lane is available for travel on George St, between Margaret and Grosvenor streets.
• No Right Turn is permitted for northbound motorists on George St at Bridge St .
• Motorists accessing Macquarie St should use Hunter St. 
• Motorists on Bond St can only turn right into George St to head northbound.

The following permanent changes will be implemented from 10pm Friday 26 July 2019:

• Westbound motorists will be able to travel on Bond Street, across George Street and into Jamison Street. 
• Jamison Street will return to one way westbound traffic between George and York Streets.
• Access to Jamison Street will be via George Street only. 
• One northbound lane will be available for travel on George Street, between Margaret and Grosvenor Streets.
• No Right Turn will be permitted for northbound motorists on George Street at Bridge Street.
• Motorists accessing Macquarie Street should use Hunter Street. 
• Motorists on Bond Street will only be able to turn right into George Street to head northbound.

To accommodate rail replacement bus operations for Sydney Trains trackwork special event clearways will be in place on both sides of Chalmers St between Cleveland St and Devonshire St from:

• 2am Saturday 17 August to 2am Monday 19 August

Clearways are strict no parking zones even for local residents and RMS Mobility Scheme Permit holders. Check signs carefully as vehicles left in clearways will be towed and a fee applies.
