Traffic Incidents related to Pennant Hills Road at Isabella Street, North Parramatta, NSW
Investigation is continuing, so Windsor Rd remains closed until that is completed.
- Northbound Windsor Rd is closed at Boundary Rd.
- Southbound Windsor Rd is closed at Hammers Rd.
- The on-ramps to Windsor Rd are still closed.
- O’Connell St now has two general traffic lanes in each direction between Barney and Albert streets.
- The northbound lanes on O’Connell St between Albert and Board streets have reopened.
- An additional left turn lane from Barney St eastbound onto Church St northbound is available.
- An additional right turn lane from Church St southbound onto Barney St westbound is available.
- Northbound motorists on Hawkesbury Road will not be able to turn left onto Darcy Road. Motorists will be detoured via Farmhouse Road onto Darcy Road.
- Darcy Road North West T-way will be closed between Farmhouse and Hawkesbury Roads. Motorists at the intersection of Darcy and Farmhouse Road will only be able to turn left or right.
- This will also include a one of two turn/bus lane closures in both directions along Hawkesbury Rd between Railway Pde and Queens Rd.
Hawkesbury Road, between Darcy Road and Hainsworth Street will be converted to one-way only in the northbound direction.
Hainsworth Street, between Hawkesbury Road and Park Avenue will also be converted to one-way only in the eastbound direction.
There will be no left turn from Hainsworth Street into Hawkesbury Road southbound.
These traffic changes will remain until 2023, when Parramatta Light Rail will be operational.
There will be no left turn from Smith Street into Macquarie Street during this time.
Motorists should use George Street to travel west across Parramatta during this time.
Stop/slow traffic control at the intersection of Charles and Macquarie Streets during this closure-motorist are to expect delays through the intersection.
