Changed Traffic Conditions - Heavy Vehicle Road Usage Restriction
Heavy and oversized vehicles are being advised not to use the New England Highway due to severely damaged pavements and the safety of oncoming traffic. Loads exceeding 3.5m wide, or exceeding 80 tonnes gross mass are not to travel on the New England Highway until further notice. These restrictions apply between the QLD border and Tamworth. Please note that agricultural vehicles are exempted from these restrictions. The restrictions are expected to remain in effect until February 20, but will be regularly reviewed.
