From 2:30am Friday 7 July, George St, between Grosvenor St/Bridge St and Essex St, will be closed to increase space for pedestrians and businesses.There are a number of traffic changes that will occur in conjunction with this closure:Motorists will no longer be able to access George St from Dalley St or Grosvener St/Bridge St.Westbound motorists will be able to turn right into Harrington St - the “No right turn” restriction will be removed.Southbound motorists on George St will no longer be able to head straight down George St at the Essex St intersection - they will only be able to turn right into Essex St.Eastbound motorists on Essex St will no longer be able to turn right into George St.

From 10pm Fri 21 July 2023The northbound off-ramp from the Sydney Harbour Bridge to the Pacific Hwy will be reduced from three lanes to two lanes.The slip lane from Lavender St to Pacific Hwy will now merge with northbound motorists from the Sydney Harbour Bridge.The speed limit on High St between Arthur St and Walker St will be reduced to 40km/h.Motorists will not be able to turn right at Walker St from the Pacific Hwy off-ramp.
