The Queensland state government has imposed restrictions on cross-border movements as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

Restrictions in effect include border road closures and police checks on vehicles on major highways.

Exemptions include freight, emergency vehicles and emergency workers, people travelling to and from work, court orders including family court, compassionate grounds and medical treatment.

• Police control this site 24/7. Border control signage is in place on both sides of the border. 
• Freight vehicles and those with an exemption can pass.  All others will be turned around or quarantined.
