Motorists travelling on the Newell Highway today (Sunday 7 August) are advised to allow additional travel time as a truck carrying a wide load will be making its way towards Parkes.
Police and other crews will be escorting the truck. The police will be directing motorists around the truck, but there may be delays of up to 20 minutes for motorists.

Namoi Street is closed to vehicles wider than 3m.
All vehicles wider than 3m will be stopped on site and are advised to use an alternative route or delay journey as this is the only approved route through Coonabarabran.
This closure will remain in place until at least 7:30am Tuesday 21 June.
