Southbound traffic at Tamworth will be diverted onto Werris Creek Rd to Werris Creek and then Quirindi. They can then use the Kamilaroi Hwy to re-join the New England Hwy at Willow Tree.
Northbound traffic should travel from Willow Tree to Quirindi on the Kamilaroi Hwy. Then they can use Werris Creek Rd to Tamworth via Werris Creek.

The highway is closed for vehicle salvage.
Northbound traffic should divert into Maria St which turns into Wallabadah Rd, to head to Quirindi and then use Werris Creek Rd to head to Tamworth.
Southbound motorists at Tamworth should use Werris Creek Rd to head to Quirindi and then use Wallabadah Rd to return to New England Hwy.
This diversion is suitable for all vehicles. However, motorists should note there is heavy rain in the area.
